Learn more about our service line material inventory as required by the federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR)

EPA Sources of Lead in Drinking Water

In accordance with the 2021 LCRR requirements, Zone 7 completed an inventory of service lines within our system which confirmed none are made of lead.  The inventory was approved by the State Water Board in July 2024.

What is the LSLI and the LCRR?

The Lead Service Line Inventory (LSLI) is a requirement of the federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) which was adopted in 2021.  The LCRR aims to better protect communities and children by reducing lead and copper levels in drinking water.  Under the LCRR, water systems are required to develop an inventory which documents the service line materials that are connected to the public water distribution systems.  More information regarding the LCRR and LSLI can be found on the US EPA website or the State Water Board website.

Zone 7’s Completed Inventory for the LCRR Indicates Lead-Free System

Zone 7’s comprehensive inventory utilizes record drawings and field verification methods to determine that the material classification for all service lines within our system are non-lead.
