ABOUT THE PROJECT

  • The project would add necessary water treatment facilities to the existing Mocho Wellfield to remove PFAS from the wellfield’s groundwater supply.
  • The location for the new facility will be assessed during the conceptual design phase and would likely be located near the existing wells in Pleasanton.

PROJECT SCHEDULE & UPDATES

  • Zone 7 plans to complete the conceptual design of the project in December 2024.
  • Design and construction phases will follow.
  • Construction of the facility is expected to be completed in spring 2029.
